Iskaryn Profile

  • Attributes: +1 Constitution, -1 Charisma
  • Resistance: Cold
  • Weakness: Heat

The Iskaryn are a hardy elven people who endure the endless winter that crowns the world. Dwelling in frozen tundra and glacial valleys beyond the Supremacy’s northern borders, they have adapted to survive where most life cannot. Isolation has shaped them into a practical, stoic race — less ethereal than southern elves, more like spirits of endurance and silence.

Personality & Behavior

The Iskaryn are measured, solemn, and wary of outsiders. They speak little and act with deliberation, believing wastefulness — of words, movement, or emotion — is a sin against survival. To them, trust is earned through shared hardship, not sentiment. Yet once loyalty is given, it is unbreakable.

Appearance

Pale-skinned with faint silver or ice-blue undertones, Iskaryn often have stark white, gray, or frost-blonde hair. Their eyes gleam in cold hues of blue, gray, or pale violet, adapted to dim light. Their features are sharper and more angular than other elves, and their movements quiet and efficient. When exposed to cold air, faint patterns of frost crystalize along their skin like natural tattoos.

Culture

The Iskaryn live in scattered settlements carved into glacier faces or buried underground. These settlements functions as both a home and fortress against the endless storms, governed by a council known as the Thrymnir, who judge disputes and oversee resource trade between cities.

They prize endurance, craftsmanship, and quiet courage. Songs are rare, but when sung, they are low and resonant — stories of storms survived rather than battles won. While they acknowledge the Supremacy’s existence, they see its southern struggles as the concerns of “warmbloods.” To them, the cold is the only true ruler.
