Solari Profile

  • Attributes: +1 Wisdom, -1 Strength
  • Resistance: Drought
  • Weakness: Moisture

The Solari are an elven people shaped by the relentless sun and endless dunes. They dwell in the desert realms south of the Supremacy, tending hidden oases and ancient waystations that dot the shifting sands. Where other races see desolation, the Solari see life — fragile, sacred, and fiercely worth defending.

Personality & Behavior

Solari value patience, discipline, and quiet pride. Life in the desert demands endurance, and they have little tolerance for waste — of words, water, or trust. Yet when they laugh, it is with the warmth of sunlit stone; when they rage, it burns like the desert wind. To cross a Solari’s honor is to invite the fury of the sands themselves.

Appearance

Tall and lean, Solari skin bears the deep bronze and sun-gold hues of the desert. Their eyes shimmer like opal or amber, reflecting sunlight in uncanny ways. Many wear flowing fabrics dyed in pale whites and ochres to deflect the heat, adorned with silver jewelry etched with the sigils of their bonded beasts. Their long hair — often white, copper, or black as glass — is braided to keep clear of desert winds.

Culture

Solari society revolves around the Bonded Paths — great pilgrimage routes connecting the oases, maintained by tribes who travel them with their animal companions. Their bonds are most often with camels and llamas, granting endurance, control of sand and mirage, and resistance to heat.

Each oasis is governed by a Circle of Waterkeepers, who preserve both water and wisdom. Decisions are made slowly and communally, guided by ancient rites inscribed on sandstone pillars.

To outsiders, the Solari appear fragmented into clans, but they unite swiftly when threatened. Their wars with the Supremacy flare and fade like desert storms — brief but devastating — fueled by both vengeance and the Supremacy’s hunger for control over the desert trade routes.

The Solari see themselves as the true stewards of balance — guardians of the life that endures even when the sun itself seeks to burn it away.
